Your source does not need to be studio-quality. The important part is that the required person or subject is large, sharp, and evenly lit — that makes the result more predictable.

Lighting is even and the image is sharp
No heavy obstructions or filters

Keep the face clearly visible

Most person-based scenarios need a clear portrait. If a scene expects two people, both faces should be easy to see.

One recognizable adult face

Facial features matter most for a face swap. Fewer obstructions and extreme expressions usually produce a more accurate transfer.
